Community Transportation Network, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, was created in 2000 to address the specialized transportation needs of all transit-dependent populations and human service agencies. This includes seniors, person with disabilities, economically disadvantaged families, children and youth, who reside in Fort Wayne and all of Allen County. Our mission is to provide and coordinate specialized transportation for those most in need in order to promote self sufficiency. Organized as a brokerage and as a provider, CTN serves as a central resource between those who need transportation and available resources. CTN also provides focus on the lack of resources and generates additional support to address the needs. Services Information and referral In cooperation with First Call for Help, individuals or groups can call CTN about their transportation need and learn about appropriate alternatives. Medical transportation CTN took on the challenge to start a new service which was dependable, safe, affordable, and available throughout Fort Wayne and Allen County. CTN schedules over 1,500 trips each month on 8 lift-equipped vehicles operated by CTN. CTN also generates community support to offset 50-75% of the trip cost and keep the trip fee affordable for the rider. The hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday, 8:30a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This is a program which has grown rapidly. In 2004-05, CTN provided 8,000 trips.
